David Hu was born and raised in New York. He attended New York University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts and Medical degrees. Dr. Hu completed his residency training and served as Chief Resident in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Miami. Dr. Hu has been practicing psychiatry and addiction medicine in a variety of settings for more than 15 years and is happy to have founded his private practice office in Wellington, FL in 2019.

David Hu, MD is a psychiatrist and a member of the American Psychiatric Association. He is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Hu has practiced in a variety of mental health settings including Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health (formerly Oakwood Center). Dr. Hu has expertise in psychopharmacology and treats a wide array of mental health conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, insomnia and PTSD.

Dr. Hu is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is board certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine. Dr. Hu was the Medical Director of Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches from 2015 to 2021. As their Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Hu now assists Zinnia Health in operating addiction treatment programs in Florida, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Indiana, Colorado and California. Dr. Hu treats a range of substance use disorders including alcoholism, nicotine dependence and opioid addiction.
